James’s passion for food is not restricted to the kitchen. Aswell as promoting locally produced ingredients its paramount to James that any Food Waste generated is diverted from Landfill.

In October 2019 James instructed local waste consultants, The Waste Specialists to manage his waste collections with the strict instruction that recycling rates must increase whilst reducing overall spend.

James and his team have been very receptive to change allowing The Waste Specialists to improve; containers, signage, processes and subsequently costs. The Reindeer now separates; Cardboard/Paper, Plastics, Metal Tins, Glass Bottles and Food from their previous General Waste collections.
