Having been instructed in the spring, several changes have already been implemented to benefit the environment;

• Recycling containers have been increased and efforts are being made by all stakeholders to ensure as much is diverted from landfill as possible

• General waste containers have not only been reduced onsite but also the frequency of lifts has reduced so less transport is required to haul this waste stream

• Food segregation has been introduced and all food waste is taken to a local Aerobic Digestion facility

Further plans are in the pipeline to ensure all plastic waste generated by the club and its members are fully diverted from general waste. New recycling containers will soon be seen both on and off the course to drive this message to all parties.

As well as these positive changes the club has also reduced its annual spend by 18% keeping both General Manager and Treasurer happy!
